The mission of Boy Scout Troop 17 is to develop the youth of Denville into productive citizens. We will instill the values expressed by the Scout Oath and Law. In particular, we will emphasize respect for and service toward others, the community, country, and world. We will accomplish this by providing a stimulating and supportive Scouting program that enhances growth through both intellectual and physical activities. We will also work to develop leadership capabilities by providing training, excellent role models, and opportunities to lead within the troop. The outdoor program will enhance self-reliance and respect for the environment.
